It was just a commendable fit for strolling in Mackinac Island with excellent value for money. The hot chocolate at breakfast was the best I've had in years. Make sure to inform the front desk about housekeeping services at check-in to avoid issues.

The location strikes a good balance between being close to downtown and shielded by the park, providing a nice blend of attractions and tranquility. The ice house and pool area offer a peaceful retreat, perfectly suited for unwinding after a day’s adventures.

Our room felt cramped—definitively on the small side—and noise from the staff's constant comings and goings was less than ideal for a restful stay. The lighting from the staff entrance was overwhelming at night thanks to apparent motion sensors, making it tough to catch some Z's.

The dormer room was clean and charming, but the shower had poor water pressure.

We had a wonderful time biking around the island and soaking in the breathtaking views, especially at Arch Rock. The on-site bike rental was super convenient, making it easy for the whole family to explore together. Our room had a cozy vibe that really added to our stay.

In my wife’s opinion, the breakfast options were lacking. Having more family-friendly meal choices available on-site would be great.

island house hotel was a delight! our traditional king room was clean and spacious, and we loved the view of the lake from the veranda porch. every staff member was super friendly and helped make our stay comfortable. it's conveniently located just down the street from the main shopping area!

Relaxing stay with a view

We spent 2 nights in a Traditional King Room with an amazing view of Main Street. The grill was delish, and our meals were on point! The adult-only hot tub was a nice touch. Only thing was the room needed some updating here and there.
